POST TOKHU EMONG
- At the scratch of the earth's
surface by the priest, as noted above, the scratching of the earth in
the form of site leveling had ben permitted. The married couples in the
beginning of the year who had been residing in the parents' house of
the wife, can now make site leveling for construction of houses. The
couples would than go and settle in the newly constructed houses.
- Neighbours and friends having more
children were the baby sitters usually for one year, in exchange for
jhum cultivation, traced wood, bamboos, thatch for huts, wages for ten
or more and in some cases even for local brew.
Throughtout all these periods, people of all age in all Kyong villages
wear traditional dresses and costumes according to own entitlement.
